King Salman meets Afghanistan President to review relations between the two countries
King Salman meets Afghanistan President to review relations between the two countries

SaudiArabia's Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudreceived at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today President Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghaniof the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

King Salman welcomed the President and his delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the Afghan President expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet with the King.

The SaudiArabia's King held a luncheon in honor of the Afghan President.

The audienceand luncheon were attended by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor tothe Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region and a numberof princes and ministers.

The twosides held a session of talks at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today with PresidentDr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

During thetalks, they reviewed relations between the two countries, ways of developingand strengthening them in various fields and latest developments inAfghanistan.

The sessionwas attended by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodianof the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region; Minister of Commerce andInvestment and Acting Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Dr. Majed binAbdullah Al-Qasabi; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet's MemberAdel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Assistant Special Secretary to the Custodian of theTwo Holy Mosques Tamim bin Abdulaziz Al-Salem; and Saudi Ambassador toAfghanistan Jassem bin Mohammed Al-Khalidi.

On theAfghan side, it was attended by the official delegation accompanying the AfghanPresident.
