The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved increasing funds allocated for the Iftar (Breaking-fast) Project to SR 5 million, which will be implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in 18 countries around the world and aims to provide Iftar meals for 1 million people, as a part of the Ministry's projects during the holy month of Ramadan 1441 AH.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his continuous support to the Ministry's various works and programs in serving Islamic works.

He also confirmed that the Ministry has completed preparations to implement the project in 18 countries through religious attachés offices in the Kingdom's embassies and Islamic centers that are under the Ministry's supervision in a number of countries worldwide. The Minister added that the implementation of the project this year will be through the distribution of food baskets according to precautionary measures being taken in those countries to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
