Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah is ready to welcome pilgrims during the 2019 Hajj season.

The  operational plan will be supervised by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in cooperation with governmental and private sectors to achieve target of serving pilgrims since their arrival until leaving for their countries.

"The GACA has applied its efforts with the rest of the other sectors to prepare practical arrangements for receiving pilgrims," director general of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah Essam Nour announced.

"The progress made in King Abdulaziz Airport comes with the interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to provide best services for pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals easily and comfortably." Essam Nour said.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is obligatory to perform Hajj at least once in lifetime if you are able to do it.

Hajj 2018 will commence on Sunday, 19th of August 2018 and will continue till Friday, 24th of August 2018.
