Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh Witnesses Signing of Five MoUs

The Global Cybersecurity Forum witnessed on Thursday signing of specific memoranda of understanding (MoUs) that will reflect positively on enhancing cybersecurity in the Kingdom.

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) signed amemorandum of understanding with "NEOM" company to work together in astrategic partnership in cybersecurity, which will develop capabilities andtraining in cybersecurity technologies for smart cities, as the partnershipseeks to contribute to building national capabilities in the field ofcybersecurity required in the smart cities initiatives in the Kingdom.

NCA also signed a memorandum of understanding with KingAbdullah University of Science and Technology to work together to achievecomplementarity between them and increase the level of research anddevelopment, in addition to participating in preparing educational and trainingprograms to build national capacities specialized in the field ofcybersecurity.

Moreover, The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) signeda memorandum of understanding with the Global Resilience Federation to activateinformation sharing and contribute to developing technical capabilities in thefield of information sharing in order to enhance risk sharing in the area ofcybersecurity information.

This partnership will enable Tatweer to train more than 500professionals in the field of sharing cyber information.

In another memorandum of understanding, the NCA signed amemorandum of understanding with "Reiter Lab" (a global company thatissues safety certificates), whereby the National Cybersecurity Authority willwork through this MoU to develop expertise in the field of buildingcybersecurity testing laboratories and developing national capabilities, so asto provide local talent.

The NCA also signed another strategic cooperation through amemorandum of understanding with the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf)to train and develop national cadres in the field of cybersecurity and theirqualification to fill positions in the private sector.
