Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Kingdomof Saudi Arabia, Antti Rytovuori paid today a visit to King AbdulazizFalconry Festival in its 2nd edition taking place in Mulham, north ofRiyadh.
During his visit, the Finnish Ambassador, accompanied by hiswife, toured the headquarters of the 400-m Al-Melwah race.
Rytovuori expressed his admiration for the mechanism ofmonitoring the falcon's time, radars and advanced devices used to measure thedistance, as well as the preparations made by the Saudi Falcons Club forthe competition of the most beautiful falcon, and the seven criteria set by theClub to choose the most beautiful falcon.
He also hailed the advanced level reached by the festival inits second version, to become the largest of its kind in the world.
It is worth mentioning that events of Al-Melwah competitionat King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival will continue until next Monday, while themost beautiful falcon's competition ends its activities tomorrow, Saturday.
