Thursday deadline set for first title registration of 148 properties in Makkah

The Real Estate General Authority has announced that the deadline for the first title registration of 148 properties in the Makkah region will end on Thursday, 23 Safar 1448H, corresponding to August 6, 2026.

According to a statement on the authority's X account, the first title registration process in Makkah will conclude for properties located in the following neighborhoods: part of Al-Tayseer, part of Al-Hindawiyah, part of northern Jarham, part of Jarwal, part of Al-Rusaifah, and part of Al-Zahraa.

The authority called on property owners in these designated neighborhoods to promptly register their properties through the Real Estate Registry platform (www.rer.sa) before the deadline to benefit from services related to property transactions and to document any changes to their properties.

It explained that the registry will issue a "property number" and a title deed for each registered unit. The new title deed will include the property's precise geographic location, owner information, descriptions, status, associated rights and obligations, and all property transactions, providing a foundation for documenting ownership and related rights, and supporting the sustainability and development of the real estate sector.

The authority stressed that failing to register properties within the specified period will subject owners to financial penalties as stipulated in the Real Estate Title Registration Law, with violations reviewed by a specialized committee. It also confirmed that title registration applications will continue to be accepted in all announced areas even after the deadline.

It is noteworthy that the National Company for Real Estate Title Registration (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the registry in Saudi Arabia, utilizing geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform to enhance transparency and trust in property services and data.
