US stock indexes close lower on Wednesday

Major US stock indexes ended Wednesday's session lower on Wall Street.

The S&P 500 slipped by 0.99 points, or 0.01%, to close at 7,676.29.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 15.12 points, or 0.06%, ending at 26,136.18.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 113.52 points, or 0.21%, to finish at 53,463.88.
