The Financial Academy, in partnership with Bloomberg, today inaugurated the Bloomberg Financial Lab at its headquarters in King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh, and launched the "Bloomberg Financial Pathways" program for professionals and students in the financial sector.

The program aims to enable participants to access and apply the latest technologies, benefiting from internationally recognized mentoring and guidance programs in global financial markets.

The Academy explained that this initiative follows the memorandum of understanding signed with Bloomberg during the Financial Academy Forum 2025 last October, and is supported by the Financial Sector Development Program and the Human Capability Development Program, both key initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030.

Regional expansion and development programs

The launch of the "Bloomberg Financial Pathways" program in Saudi Arabia marks its first regional expansion in the Middle East, as part of Bloomberg’s global initiative to connect talented students with mentors and leaders from both the public and private sectors.

Since its inception in 2022, the program has reached more than 2,500 students across 15 countries, in collaboration with a global network of nonprofit partners, to enhance leadership potential and prepare participants for promising careers in the financial sector.

Empowering national talent

In this context, Mohammed Al-Hamzani, Head of Capability Development at the Financial Academy, stated that the inauguration of the Bloomberg Financial Lab and the launch of the new program represent a significant step toward empowering national talent and equipping practitioners in the financial sector with the latest analytical tools, data, and educational opportunities.

He noted that combining theoretical knowledge with practical application through global platforms and programs helps prepare a new generation of financial leaders, supporting the Academy’s efforts to develop human capital and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the financial sector.
