Asir Municipality approves 311 development plans to boost real estate in H1 2026

Asir Municipality, through its Urban Planning and Land Agency’s City Planning Department, has approved 311 public and private development plans during the first half of 2026. The move aims to prepare land for development and support the growth of the real estate sector, in line with rising demand for residential and development uses in the region.

The municipality stated that the approved plans include 53 public and 258 private projects, following a comprehensive review to ensure compliance with established planning standards and requirements. This is expected to improve land use efficiency and support development in line with urban and economic growth needs.

The municipality added that approving these plans will increase the supply of land ready for development and open the door to more residential, urban, and related service projects. This will boost real estate investment activity and support growth in construction, building, and urban services sectors. Accelerating plan approvals is also expected to enhance the efficiency of the real estate market by providing land that meets clear standards, empowering the private sector to develop projects aligned with development requirements, diversifying investment opportunities, and increasing the region’s appeal for urban investment.
