The unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia kept unchanged at 11.3 percent in the third quarter of 2021, compared with the previous quarter, new data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Unemployment rate among males and females stood at 5.9 percent and 21.9 percent, respectively, in the same period.
Meanwhile, unemployment among total working age population remained the same at 6.6 percent in the three-month period.
Unemployment rate declined by 1.9 percentage point in Q3 2021, compared with the same period a year before.
The public sector accounted for 27.1 percent of total labor force at the end of the third quarter of 2021; while the percentage of labor force in the private sector reached 54.3 percent.
Saudis accounted for 53.3 percent in the public sector and 45.8 percent in the private sector; while non-Saudis accounted for 61.3 percent in the private sector and 33 percent in other sectors.
Other sectors include self-employed, family workers, non-profit organizations, domestic labor, regional and international organizations, agricultural sector workers.
