Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing and Chairman of the General Real Estate Authority, announced the issuance of more than 2 million real estate records as part of efforts to enhance the reliability of property ownership and improve transaction efficiency in the Kingdom.

Al-Hogail explained that the scope of real estate registration has been expanded to cover more than 5 million properties across various regions, according to specific phases and timelines for each area. He noted that this achievement reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing a trusted real estate sector and advancing digital transformation.

The minister emphasized that the real estate registration system marks a significant step forward, preserving the history of properties in accurate records that include their descriptions, legal and physical status, and geospatial locations, in line with global best practices for building smart and sustainable cities.

He added that the next phase will see expansion across all cities and regions of the Kingdom, along with broader digital services, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for owners and investors. This will further strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a real estate investment destination and boost the sector’s competitiveness regionally and internationally.

Abdullah Al-Hammad, CEO of the General Real Estate Authority, stated that reaching this level of real estate registration reflects the maturity of the sector’s regulatory framework and its ability to implement legislation that safeguards rights and enhances market efficiency.

Al-Hammad noted that real estate registration will continue to expand nationwide, increasing confidence in property transactions, attracting both local and international investors, and reinforcing transparency and reliability in the sector.

Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, CEO of the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (Real Estate Registry), said that registering 2 million properties in a short period represents a major step towards achieving the registry’s goals and supporting the diversification of the national economy.

Al-Sulaiman pointed out that each real estate record combines the legal strength of the title deed with a property record that preserves geospatial data and property history, streamlining the process for beneficiaries and enhancing certainty in transactions.

The Real Estate Registry continues to build an integrated property data system aligned with the latest global practices in governance and digitization, aiming to cover all regions and cities in the Kingdom to attract investment and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
