Saudi Arabia recorded more than 246.4 million point-of-sale (POS) transactions between October 11 and 17, 2026, with a total value of SAR 12.6 billion, according to the Saudi Central Bank's weekly report.

The data showed a slight decrease in transaction value compared to the previous week, which reached SAR 13.5 billion.

The food and beverage sector led all categories, with SAR 2.22 billion from 59.1 million transactions, followed by restaurants and cafes at SAR 1.65 billion across 59.6 million transactions.

The transport sector saw 6.93 million transactions worth SAR 921.9 million, while the health sector recorded 10.1 million transactions totaling SAR 823.3 million.

Among cities, Riyadh reported the highest weekly POS activity with 81.6 million transactions valued at SAR 4.41 billion, followed by Jeddah with 27.5 million transactions worth SAR 1.67 billion, and Dammam with 9.86 million transactions totaling SAR 639.9 million.
