A team of 40 gifted Saudi students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) arrived Saturday in the US city of Columbus, Ohio, to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), an event expected to host over 1,700 students from 70 countries on May 10-16.
Represented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, the Kingdom has participated annually since 2007, amassing 160 awards.
The Saudi team underwent a year of intensive training by Mawhiba, including expert assessments and six progressive stages focused on research and presentation skills, preparing them for this major international competition.
