Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah Records Over Half a Million Volunteer Hours in 2025

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah Region recorded 10,358 volunteer opportunities with the participation of 57,982 volunteers (41,837 men and 16,145 women), contributing a total of 500,559 volunteer hours across various fields through activities and programs implemented during 2025.

The authority reported that Jeddah led the region in volunteer opportunities with 3,557, followed by Makkah with 2,713 and Taif with 1,458, while the remaining opportunities were distributed across other governorates and centers according to operational and humanitarian needs.

Volunteer efforts during the year covered several key areas, most notably emergency medical services, administration, humanitarian aid, media, environmental initiatives, and education. This reflects the comprehensive nature of volunteer work and its integration with the authority’s mission to serve the community, support pilgrims, and contribute to community events and initiatives.

The authority affirmed that these achievements reflect its continued commitment to empowering institutional volunteer work, enhancing volunteer efficiency, and expanding participation in diverse programs and initiatives.
