

The Saudi physics team is participating in the 10th European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO 2026), held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 12 to 16, 2026, with around 200 students from 40 countries.
Saudi Arabia is represented by a team of five high school students, trained and prepared by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education through the Mawhiba International Olympiad Program.
This marks Saudi Arabia's eighth participation in the competition, with a total of 24 awards to date, including one gold, three silver, and 12 bronze medals, as well as eight certificates of appreciation.
The European Physics Olympiad is an international scientific competition for high school students featuring short problems requiring creative solutions, comprising theoretical and practical tests, with students discussing their solutions directly with the scientific committee.
