Saudi authorities implemented extensive operational measures at Miqat Dhu Al-Hulayfah as large numbers of pilgrims departed for Makkah and the holy sites to begin Hajj rituals, officials said.

The site witnessed heavy movement following Friday prayers, with a sharp increase in bus arrivals transporting pilgrims. Authorities said coordinated efforts among multiple agencies helped regulate traffic flow and ease congestion in parking areas and access roads.

Personnel inside the Miqat mosque were deployed to provide organizational support and religious guidance to worshippers as part of crowd-management efforts.

Security, health and emergency agencies also activated field plans along highways leading to the holy sites to ensure the safe movement of pilgrims.

The measures included the deployment of medical convoys and emergency response teams positioned along the routes for rapid intervention if needed.
