Saudi Arabia’s participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meetings in Davos marks a significant milestone in its international presence, reflecting the Kingdom’s strengthened role in economic, developmental, technical, and environmental issues and its emergence as an influential player in shaping global trends through partnerships and cross-border initiatives.

The Kingdom’s commitment to regional stability and global market security is widely acknowledged, particularly in the energy sector, where it has balanced producers’ and consumers’ interests by adopting a circular carbon economy approach and supporting the transition to clean energy and sustainable mining.

In 2022, the Kingdom presented solutions to global challenges, addressing issues related to climate, economy, energy, and food security, while highlighting the successes of Saudi Vision 2030 in economic diversification and resilience against crises, including COVID-19.

In 2023, the Saudi delegation explored international cooperation, reaffirming the Kingdom’s leadership in innovative urban solutions.
Various initiatives from AlUla, the Misk Foundation, the Saudi Data and AI Authority, and the Digital Saudi Exhibition showcased innovation, youth empowerment, and smart city development, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to shaping the future.

The Saudi presence culminated in 2024 when Riyadh hosted the WEF Special Meeting, patronized by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

More than a thousand global leaders convened to discuss development challenges and formulate solutions for a stable future, focusing on space, artificial intelligence, sustainability, health, and humanitarian efforts.

At the 2025 WEF annual meeting, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its international presence by announcing a high-level global forum in partnership with the WEF for the first half of 2026, reflecting confidence in its leadership.

The forum launched several initiatives, including the Centre for Cyber Economics in Riyadh and Jubail Industrial City's joining the Transitioning Industrial Clusters initiative.

Through its expanding presence at the WEF, the Kingdom continues to reinforce its vital role in shaping international solutions and strengthening global partnerships, demonstrating that Saudi Vision 2030 can guide international cooperation toward a stable and prosperous future.
