Saudi Arabia Concludes Participation in Muscat International Book Fair 2025

The Muscat International Book Fair 2025 concluded on Saturday, drawing a wide audience of readers and collectors, with participation from 35 countries and 674 publishing houses showcasing their latest literary and intellectual works.

The Saudi delegation’s participation, led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, added notable value to the fair, providing an opportunity for direct engagement and offering insight into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s literary output and translation efforts, thereby fostering greater Gulf cultural understanding.

The Saudi Arabia pavilion offered a rich and diverse cultural program, featuring intellectual seminars and dialogue sessions with prominent thinkers and writers, adding a dynamic dimension to the participation and reflecting the creative diversity witnessed in Saudi Arabia.

This participation underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening cultural partnerships with the Sultanate of Oman, rooted in deep historical ties and shared civilizational interaction between the two peoples in literature, thought, and the arts, alongside growing cultural cooperation between institutions and individuals in both countries.

Since its launch in 1992, the Muscat International Book Fair has been one of the region’s leading cultural events, contributing to promoting reading, supporting the Arab publishing market, and elevating the status of Omani literature among readers in the Arab world.
