The Red Sea International Film Festival announced the opening of submissions for the Red Sea Souk film projects program, one of the creative platforms supporting the film industry in the Arab world, Asia, and Africa, as part of the festival's activities scheduled to take place in Jeddah from December 3 to 12.
The festival stated that the Red Sea Souk will accept submissions for film projects in the development, production, or post-production stages, while its project market activities will be held from December 5 to 9, with the participation of producers, financiers, distributors, sales agents, and decision-makers from the global film industry.
The program gives filmmakers the opportunity to compete for cash and in-kind prizes and to present their projects to international production and financing entities, enhancing prospects to develop independent films and increase their presence in global markets.
The festival set June 11 as the deadline for submissions of projects in the development and production stages, while submissions for works-in-progress projects will continue to be accepted until July 24.
