The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia to promote horse racing and enhance equestrian welfare in AlUla, further reinforcing its position as a center of excellence in equestrian sports.
The MoU outlines plans to develop horse racing and training facilities in AlUla, drawing on the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia’s expertise in race operations, program planning, and international best practices in event organization.
It also provides for cooperation with the Equine Hospital in Riyadh to enhance veterinary care, saddling services, and equine welfare standards, as well as offering training programs aimed at developing national talent in the equestrian field.
This partnership extends RCU’s efforts to establish AlUla as a global destination for equestrian sports, culture, and tourism.
