US stock indexes end Wednesday trading mixed

Major US stock indexes closed mixed on Wednesday at the end of trading on Wall Street.

The S&P 500 fell 10.72 points, or 0.14%, to close at 7,498.48, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 145.48 points, or 0.56%, to 25,691.72.

In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 1.52 points to finish at 52,226.16.
