Eastern Province offers 230 parks and urban spaces for investment in 2026

Eastern Province Municipality has launched 230 parks and urban interventions for investment this year, as part of a target exceeding 400 parks and urban projects. The initiative aims to improve quality of life in the region’s cities and governorates, in line with the strategies of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing.

Municipality spokesperson Faisal Al-Zahrani said the investment portfolio currently includes 35 parks, reflecting the diversity of opportunities available to the private sector and opening new horizons for the development of public facilities and enhancement of services for residents and visitors.

Al-Zahrani emphasized that investing in parks combines economic returns with social impact by developing green spaces and recreational and social facilities, increasing the appeal of neighborhoods and urban areas, and providing public environments that support community activities and improve visitor experiences. He added that the development of accompanying facilities and services will further enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

He noted that these efforts are part of the municipality’s ongoing work to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by boosting private sector participation in economic development, improving quality of life, and developing cities and public facilities. This supports the creation of attractive, sustainable urban environments and strengthens the Eastern Province’s position as a promising investment destination.
