The National Greening Program held a meeting with the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce’s National Committee for Environment, Water, and Agriculture to encourage private sector investment.
The discussion focused on attracting partnerships for afforestation and land rehabilitation, aiming to preserve natural resources, develop vegetation, and achieve the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
The Kingdom offers several incentives for private investment in the environmental sector, including abundant land resources, a supportive regulatory environment, and the positive social and environmental impact of such projects.
The program’s long-term contracts and alignment with national priorities under Saudi Vision 2030 also make it an appealing prospect.
The National Greening Program has made significant progress by rehabilitating 500,000 hectares of degraded land and planting over 151 million trees across the Kingdom.
These achievements underscore the importance of partnerships among the public, private, and non-profit sectors to advance environmental conservation and the development of green spaces.
