Oil prices fall for third straight day as Iran, Oman hold talks

Oil prices declined for the third consecutive day as Iran and Oman held discussions on a potential agreement to resume shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude fell below $86 per barrel, bringing its losses since the start of the week to around 9 percent, while West Texas Intermediate dropped to under $80 per barrel.
