The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the establishment of a non-profit building materials manufacturers association to enhance the building materials sector in the Kingdom.
This initiative, revealed at the International Non-Profit Forum in Riyadh, reflects the ministry’s commitment to empowering non-profit organizations in industry and mining, thereby supporting the Kingdom's economic development.
The association will focus on developing technical specifications aligned with international best practices and assisting local factories with ISO, CE, and SASO certifications.
It aims to improve communication between manufacturers and decision-makers, promote innovation and technology transfer through academic partnerships, and identify new export markets.
Additionally, it will enhance local content, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and develop skills in factory management and quality control.
The association will also raise awareness of energy efficiency, resource management, and emission reduction to promote a sustainable industrial environment.
This establishment aligns with the ministry’s goal of increasing the non-profit sector’s contribution to the economy, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
