Al-Mudhnab date season welcomes first batch of red Sukari dates

The date season in Al-Mudhnab Governorate has begun at the central fruit and date market, with the arrival of the first batch of this year’s "red Sukari Al-Mudhnab" crop. The event attracted a large turnout of traders, shoppers, and visitors eager to purchase this variety, which is closely tied to the region’s agricultural identity.

The arrival of the crop coincided with comprehensive organizational and service preparations overseen by the Qassim Regional Authority. The event was organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates through its seasonal markets platform, in cooperation with the Al-Mudhnab office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and under the official sponsorship of the Qassim Chamber of Commerce, along with participation from several related entities.

Field teams from the local agriculture office are monitoring the quality and safety of the dates before they enter the auction area. They are also managing the flow of sales and facilitating access for farmers and shoppers, aiming to enhance the product’s market value and improve services within the market.

Praise for quality and expectations of increased activity

Several Al-Mudhnab farmers noted that this year’s crop stands out for its high quality and fully ripened color. They added that demand for "red Sukari Al-Mudhnab" was strong from the early hours of the auction, given its distinctive qualities and its association with the governorate’s agricultural heritage.

Daily inflows and sales of dates continue, with expectations that market activity will rise in the coming period as further support is provided to farmers and visitors to ensure smooth marketing and sales operations.
