Commerce Ministry conducts over 14,000 inspections of National Day sales

The Ministry of Commerce conducted 14,529 field inspections at markets and shopping centers across all regions of the Kingdom to verify businesses’ compliance with the rules and conditions for Saudi National Day sales and promotions.

The ministry stated that it monitored sales licenses and their display to consumers, as well as businesses’ adherence to authorized offers, discount rates, and price tags or electronic readers showing prices before and after discounts. It also checked for clear disclosure of exchange and return policies.

In the same context, inspection teams issued 819 immediate sales violations to non-compliant businesses, in accordance with consumer protection regulations.

The Ministry of Commerce urged consumers to verify the legitimacy and accuracy of sales and promotions by scanning the barcode displayed on the discount license, which provides details about the offers, including type, percentage, duration, and business information.
