The last quarter moon of Rajab was observed today over the skies of Northern Borders Region, coinciding with its conjunction with Spica, one of the brightest stars in the Virgo constellation.

Astronomy and Space Club member Adnan Khalifa explained that the moon appeared in its last quarter phase, with half of its disk illuminated, while Spica appeared close to the moon, creating a striking celestial display that was easily observable with the naked eye.

The spectacle offers an ideal opportunity for astronomy and astrophotography enthusiasts to observe celestial phenomena, particularly in areas with minimal light pollution, such as the Kingdom’s deserts.
