KSrelief Participates in the Coordination Meeting in Brussels on Gaza Crisis, Addressing Access Barriers and Exploring Possible Solutions

The delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), led by Dr. Hana Omar, Director of the Department of Partnerships and International Relations, participated in a coordination meeting addressing the Gaza crisis titled "Obstacles to Access and Possible Solutions."

This meeting was chaired by the European Commission and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs as part of the High-Level European Humanitarian Forum's third session.

The forum was organized by the European Commission and the Kingdom of Belgium during its presidency of the Council of the European Union, held from March 18 to 19, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium.

Addressing the meeting, Dr. Hana Omar expressed gratitude for convening such a significant gathering amid escalating hostilities and blatant violations of international humanitarian law.

She also conveyed the centre's appreciation for the efforts of humanitarian workers in Gaza and offered condolences to those who lost their lives during recent events.

Dr. Hana highlighted the Kingdom's efforts to alleviate the repercussions of the ongoing violations in Gaza. Since last November, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud have spearheaded a popular campaign through the "Sahim" relief platform for the Palestinian people in Gaza.

This initiative has received donations exceeding $180 million from the wise leadership and society to support the affected population.

The forum deliberated on the escalating global humanitarian requirements in nations impacted by crises worldwide.

It also emphasized the importance of bolstering cooperation and partnerships among affected countries, donors, international stakeholders, the European Union, and its member states to identify sustainable and effective solutions to humanitarian challenges, focusing on addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
