

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) enhanced its community and development services during Hajj season 1447 AH through a number of quality initiatives supporting pilgrims in Makkah and the holy sites.
The "Anwarat" initiative saw the participation of more than 3,000 male and female volunteers contributing over 40,000 volunteer hours, serving more than 160,000 elderly pilgrims, supporting approximately 1,500 persons with disabilities, providing more than 2,000 immediate medical services, and conducting 250 guidance and counseling sessions.
The ministry also supervised the participation of more than 4,000 volunteers with over 70,000 volunteer hours distributed across service sites, and supervised the operation of 33 child hospitality centers in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites, receiving approximately 400 children during the season.
