Ministry of Industry issues 47,368 certificates of origin in June 2026

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 47,368 certificates of origin in June 2026, as part of its efforts to support services and streamline procedures for exporters in the industrial and commercial sectors, as well as for individuals.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, said the certificate of origin is a document that verifies exported products are of national origin or have acquired national origin status. He explained that the service targets industrial establishments, the commercial sector—including companies and institutions—as well as individuals such as farmers, tourism professionals, independent fishermen, local artisans, and others.

Al-Jarrah added that there are four types of certificates of origin: one for national products exported to Gulf Cooperation Council countries; one for national products exported to Arab countries; a preferential certificate, which is the unified model for GCC countries when exporting to states and economic blocs with which free trade agreements exist; and a bilingual Arabic-English certificate for countries that do not grant preferential treatment, known as the global model.
