Saudi Arabia imposes final anti-dumping duties on cast iron pipe imports from India

Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, has issued a decision to impose final anti-dumping duties on Saudi imports of hollow pipes and tubes made of cast iron (ductile iron pipes) with diameters ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm, and technical specifications K9 and C Class to C40. These products are used in water supply networks, stormwater drainage, sewage systems, irrigation networks, and fire-fighting systems, and originate from or are exported from the Republic of India.

The decision and public announcement were published in the Official Gazette (Umm Al-Qura). The final duties will apply to the relevant imports for five years starting August 4, 2026. The decision directs the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to impose and collect the anti-dumping duties, which will range from 16.96% to 29.94%, according to the detailed table included in the decision.

The imposition of these final anti-dumping duties is in accordance with the Trade Remedies Law in international trade, which aims to protect the local industry from unfair trade practices in the Saudi market. The decision is based on the final results of an investigation launched on July 23, 2025, following a complaint from the domestic industry, and is in line with the Trade Remedies Law and its executive regulations.
