Saudi ports maintain trade flow with contingency plans, expert says

Supply chain and logistics expert Khaled Al-Ghamdi said that Saudi ports have successfully implemented contingency plans to ensure the continued flow of exports and imports to and from the Kingdom and Gulf countries, despite regional challenges.

Speaking in a phone interview with Al-Ekhbariya, he added that Jeddah Islamic Port, the largest in the Kingdom, has taken proactive steps to address logistical developments in the region and has worked closely with various government agencies. This has enabled a shift in operations from the eastern coast—both for Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states—to the western coast, resulting in smoother supply chain movement for the Kingdom and its Gulf neighbors.
