The board of directors of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) held the sixth meeting of its 40th session, attended by General Court of Audit (GCA) President, Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors (SAIA) board Chairman, and IIA board member Dr. Hussam Alangari.
During the meeting, the board reviewed the most significant activities of the first and second quarters of 2025 and discussed the agenda items, resulting in the adoption of several recommendations and decisions.
The IIA board seeks to continue its efforts to develop professional standards and raise awareness of the role of internal auditing, in line with global technical and professional developments.
It also aims to advance the development of the profession and its practitioners by developing future strategies and plans that contribute to expanding the profession's horizons and keeping pace with scientific and technical advancements.
Members of the ILA board congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by SAIA, on its winning bid to host the 2027 IIA International Conference.
They emphasized that this achievement is a culmination of the Kingdom's tireless efforts to enhance its international presence in the field of internal auditing and consolidate its leadership role in developing the profession regionally and globally.
