Three key factors to shape US interest rates in December: analyst

Global markets expert Ahmed Shreim outlined the likely path of US interest rates in December, based on the upcoming Federal Reserve decision.

Speaking to Al Arabiya Business, Shreim said the outcome will depend on developments in the Middle East and ongoing geopolitical tensions.

He added that the Federal Reserve should clarify how its interest rate decisions relate to the US midterm congressional elections.

Shreim also noted that recent gold sell-offs this week coincide with the tight timeframe ahead of both the Israeli elections and the US midterms, as well as the nature of the Fed's upcoming meeting.
