Real Estate Authority conducts 39 joint inspections to ensure market compliance in August

The General Real Estate Authority, in cooperation with relevant government bodies, conducted 39 joint inspection tours last August, visiting 369 real estate establishments across various regions of the Kingdom. The initiative aimed to ensure compliance with real estate regulations and the Real Estate Brokerage Law, as well as to monitor the responsibilities of participating agencies.

The authority stated that fieldwork is a key regulatory measure for the real estate market. During the same period, its inspection teams carried out 17,182 field audits, covering advertising boards and real estate offices.

These operations uncovered several violations, most notably the practice of real estate brokerage or services without a valid license, failure to verify information with the property owner or beneficiary, and not displaying the licensed name or license number in real estate advertisements.

Additionally, the authority received 1,701 real estate reports through its various channels, all of which were addressed and processed. The number of electronic survey operations exceeded 33,197, as part of digital monitoring efforts targeting online channels and real estate platforms to verify the legality of advertisements and digital brokerage practices.

Call for compliance and reporting violations

The General Real Estate Authority urged all brokers and real estate service providers to adhere to the Real Estate Brokerage Law and its regulations, and to review violations to avoid penalties, which may include warnings, suspension or revocation of licenses, and fines of up to 200,000 riyals (SAR).

The authority also encouraged citizens and residents to report any violations or real estate fraud via its official platform or by calling (199011) for real estate inquiries.
