Industry ministry processes 771 chemical clearance requests in July 2026

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 771 chemical clearance requests in July 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to boost industrial investment and support the growth of manufacturing enterprises in Saudi Arabia.

The ministry stated that the processed requests included 722 applications for the clearance of non-restricted chemical imports, along with 49 requests for permits to import restricted chemicals. In total, these requests covered 2,260 items.

According to the ministry, the chemical clearance service enables industrial investors to submit applications for clearance permits or import and export authorizations for chemicals used in their facilities through the "Sanaei" digital platform.

This service aims to ensure that chemical clearances for industrial facilities are granted through streamlined and expedited procedures, facilitating the entry of chemicals through various ports and meeting investors’ needs.

Advancing digital transformation in the industrial sector

The chemical clearance service also contributes to developing and simplifying the process of obtaining permits for chemicals used in production, by automating procedures and offering them via the industrial sector’s digital services platform. This initiative is designed to support investors and enhance the investment climate in the Kingdom.
