Economic analyst Dr. Saleh Al-Sultan has stated that the Saudi economy continues to expand and grow despite ongoing challenges and shifting circumstances.

Speaking in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya Radio, Al-Sultan added that economic growth is ongoing at varying rates, generally ranging between 2% and 5% per year.

He noted that such growth rates are not surprising for the Kingdom, which has recorded years of expansion and prosperity, and praised the figures achieved by Saudi Arabia’s economy, the largest in the Middle East.

According to the 2025 Maritime Transport Statistics Bulletin, the total volume of cargo shipped through Saudi ports exceeded 341 million tons during the year, marking an increase in both exports and imports compared to 2024.

Exported cargo reached 227.2 million tons in 2025, up 2.1% from the previous year, while imported cargo totaled 114.3 million tons, a 5.0% year-on-year increase.
