Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi stated that Aseer Region is undergoing a significant transformation at various levels and is now considered one of the most promising regions on the investment map of the Kingdom, thanks to its human, natural, and economic resources.
During his virtual participation at the Second Aseer Investment Forum today, he outlined the ministry's efforts to enhance the business environment through a series of legislative reforms.
This initiative includes the review and development of over 110 pieces of legislation, focusing on key fields such as the companies law, franchise law, anti-concealment law, e-commerce regulations, and the organization of the National Competitiveness Center, all aimed at increasing the region's appeal to both local and international investors.
Al-Kassabi noted that as of April 2025, the Kingdom's commercial registers had surpassed 1.7 million records, with 90,000 of those in Aseer Region. He highlighted this growth as a signifier of increased activity within the economic sectors, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises.
He concluded that supporting the leadership in Aseer creates new opportunities across multiple sectors.
He affirmed that the ministry will continue its efforts to streamline processes, bolster entrepreneurship, and empower investors, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
