Inspection teams from the Ministry of Energy carried out 14,335 regulatory visits in September 2026, resulting in the detection of 723 violations related to the petroleum and petrochemical materials regulations, as well as the distribution of dry gas and liquefied petroleum gas for residential and commercial purposes.

According to a statement posted by the ministry on its X platform account, the main violations included conducting petroleum or petrochemical operations without the necessary licenses from the ministry, and selling liquefied petroleum gas cylinders at retail without authorization, in addition to other breaches of the two regulations.

The ministry stated that these inspection rounds are part of its ongoing efforts to enhance compliance with regulations and organizational requirements, ensure the security and reliability of petroleum and petrochemical supplies, and improve oversight and supervision of activities under its jurisdiction, thereby reducing illegal practices and protecting the market.

The ministry urged consumers to report any observations related to the implementation of the regulations by contacting the Beneficiary Service Center at the toll-free number (1914), through the “Taqa” partner service app available on Apple and Android stores, or via the national “Tawakkalna” app.

The Ministry of Energy emphasized that reports are handled by 20 regulatory branches across the Kingdom, operating around the clock to ensure rapid response, follow up on reports, and address emergency cases.
