Istithlaa platform seeks public input on 60 economic, development projects

The unified electronic platform for public and government feedback, Istithlaa, operated by the National Competitiveness Center, has announced the launch of 60 projects related to economic and development affairs. The initiative, in cooperation with 19 government entities, aims to enable stakeholders to submit their views and suggestions on these projects before they are approved.

Among the proposed projects is the draft regulation for clubs operating as companies, submitted by the Ministry of Sports. This regulation aims to establish the rules for creating and licensing clubs as companies, outlining their requirements, as well as their sporting, administrative, and financial obligations. It also covers provisions related to dissolution, mergers, division, and bankruptcy.

Additionally, the Ministry of Sports has introduced a draft regulation for sports institutes. This project seeks to regulate the licensing of sports institutes, set rules for their activities, and define the rights of beneficiaries. Public feedback on both projects will be accepted until August 16, 2026.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has also presented a project to update the regulations for establishing companies owned by municipalities and secretariats. The aim is to define the rules for creating such companies and assigning municipal tasks to them. The consultation period for this project ends on August 18, 2026.

Promoting transparency and community engagement

The launch of these projects on the Istithlaa platform is part of efforts to enhance transparency in the legislative environment and promote a culture of participation in consultations among the public, government agencies, and the private sector. This approach aims to involve them in shaping projects related to the business environment.
