Istithlaa platform seeks public input on 60 economic, development projects

The unified electronic platform for public and government feedback, Istithlaa, operated by the Saudi Center for Competitiveness and Business, has announced the launch of 60 projects related to economic and development affairs. The initiative, conducted in partnership with 19 government entities, aims to enable stakeholders to submit their views and suggestions on these projects before they are approved.

Among the proposed projects is the draft regulation for clubs operating as companies, submitted by the Ministry of Sports. This regulation aims to establish the rules for creating clubs as companies, licensing them, and defining their requirements, in addition to setting out sports, administrative, and financial obligations, as well as provisions related to dissolution, merger, division, and bankruptcy.

The Ministry of Sports has also introduced the draft regulation for sports institutes, which seeks to organize the licensing of sports institutes, establish rules for their activities, and define the rights of beneficiaries. Public feedback on both projects will be accepted until August 16, 2026.

Separately, the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing has presented a project to update the regulations for establishing companies owned by the secretariats and municipalities. The aim is to define the rules for creating such companies and assigning municipal tasks to them. The consultation period for this project ends on August 18, 2026.

Promoting transparency and community engagement

The launch of these projects on the Istithlaa platform is part of efforts to enhance transparency in the legislative environment and promote a culture of participation in consultations among the public, government entities, and the private sector, contributing to the development of business-related projects.
