GCC Welcomes Saudi Arabia’s Bid to Host Expo 2030

The Economic and Social Council of the Arab League reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh under the theme "The era of change: Leading the planet to a foresighted tomorrow," calling upon the Arab countries to contribute to mobilizing international support for the Kingdom’s request to host the exhibition.

This came at the conclusion of the 109th ministerial session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, which was held today at the headquarters of the Arab League.

In its final resolutions, the Council welcomed the measures taken by the Arab League, member states, specialized ministerial councils, and joint Arab action institutions to implement the outcomes and decisions of the Arab Development Summit held in Beirut in 2019.
