In a statement on Tadawul Saudi Arabia today, the bank explained that the planned issuance will be conducted through a special purpose vehicle, with the sukuk to be offered to qualified investors both inside and outside the Kingdom.
Arab National Bank has appointed ANB Capital, Arqaam Capital Limited, ASB Capital Limited, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Goldman Sachs International, HSBC Bank plc, Mizuho International plc, Standard Chartered Bank, and Warba Bank K.S.C.P. as joint lead managers and bookrunners.
The bank noted that the value and terms of the offering will be determined at a later date based on market conditions, adding that the issuance aims to strengthen its Tier 1 capital and that the proceeds will be used for general banking purposes.
The bank confirmed that the sukuk offering is subject to regulatory approvals where applicable and will be conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Arab National Bank, according to Tadawul, emphasized that this announcement does not constitute an invitation, offer, or solicitation to purchase, acquire, or subscribe to any securities, and stated that any further material developments will be announced in due course in line with applicable regulations.
