Key Takeaways
AIUnder the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 12th Riyadh Economic Forum will be held from October 12 to 14, 2026, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event will bring together senior officials, experts from the public and private sectors, academics, business leaders, and those interested in economic affairs.
Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obaikan, expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership for its continued support of the forum, which he said reflects a strong commitment to enhancing the role of the private sector in economic development.
Al-Obaikan also highlighted the support of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region and honorary president of the Riyadh Economic Forum. He noted that the forum has, over its history, produced more than 57 in-depth economic studies, many of which have led to significant government initiatives and decisions, underscoring the forum’s impact on economic policy.
He explained that the forum follows a rigorous scientific methodology in preparing its studies, starting with identifying key issues and challenges facing the national economy. Specialized working groups, comprising experts, academics, and representatives from both the public and private sectors, conduct field research and scientific analyses based on data, indicators, and international best practices. The findings are then discussed in forum sessions to enrich them and develop actionable recommendations, thereby supporting decision-makers, improving economic policies, and advancing sustainable development goals.
He affirmed that the Riyadh Chamber takes pride in establishing this forum as a representative and enabler of the private sector. He added that this role has gained greater importance under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the private sector’s contribution to GDP—a goal the chamber supports through institutional and strategic transformations to enhance its effectiveness in serving the business community.
