IMF chief says global economy remains resilient

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said the global economy continues to demonstrate resilience.

In remarks to Bloomberg, she added that the strength of the US dollar reflects the strength of the US economy, noting, "We must accept the reality that the world is changing rapidly."

Georgieva also praised Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh for his clear views and excellent work, and noted that while financial innovation is positive, it also increases risks.

Previously, Georgieva urged governments to address mounting financial challenges and called on central banks to remain committed to reducing inflation, as the global economy faces growing pressures.
