Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer and a major player in digital assets, has announced a strategic partnership with Saudi-based First Advanced Data for Artificial Intelligence (First Data) and BKN301 to deploy its Hadron platform as the core technology for accelerating the tokenization of institutional real estate assets in Saudi Arabia.

Under the agreement, First Data — a Saudi leader in payment solutions and digital infrastructure — will act as the commercial lead, issuer, and primary market operator for tokenized assets. Hadron will provide the core infrastructure for issuance and lifecycle management, while BKN301 will handle banking integration, compliance, and operational support.

Tokenization refers to converting ownership of a real-world asset, such as real estate, into digital tokens on a blockchain. This process enables assets that have traditionally been illiquid to be divided and traded, opening up real estate investment to a broader range of participants.

Ardoino: Saudi Arabia an ideal market under Vision 2030

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said: “At Tether, we believe that tokenizing real-world assets will redefine the financial industry, making global assets more liquid, accessible, secure, and scalable.” He added: “With Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia stands out as an ideal market to demonstrate the transformative impact of platforms like Hadron. We are proud to support the Kingdom’s ambitions by expanding participation and opening new investment opportunities.”

Nabil Al-Naeem, Chairman of First Data, said: “Saudi Arabia is among the world’s most attractive markets for the convergence of technology, capital markets, and real-world asset tokenization.” He explained that combining the company’s local expertise with Hadron’s proven infrastructure aims to “create new opportunities for asset owners, investors, and institutions in support of the Kingdom’s long-term economic vision.” BKN301 Group CEO Steven Moccetti emphasized his company’s role in ensuring seamless integration of tokenization capabilities with the necessary banking, payments, and compliance infrastructure for institutional deployment.

Gateway to broader asset classes

The statement noted that the collaboration is designed to create a scalable operating model that integrates blockchain infrastructure, digital asset technology, compliance frameworks, and regulated financial services. This will strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading hub for institutional asset tokenization and attract both local and international investors. The initiative also lays the groundwork for future expansion into other digital asset classes, including energy, infrastructure project financing, and other strategic real-world assets.

The statement added that Saudi Arabia is rapidly transitioning to a blockchain-based, sharia-compliant digital financial infrastructure as part of its Vision 2030 agenda, unlocking liquidity in traditionally illiquid sectors and facilitating foreign direct investment.
