Oil prices surge over $3 at start of trading week

Oil prices jumped by more than $3 at the open on Monday, marking a strong start to the trading week.

Brent crude futures rose $3.62, or 3.46%, to $108.23 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate futures climbed 3.15%, or $3.15, to $103.20 a barrel.
