Zakat authority clarifies meaning of missing customs declaration

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has clarified what is meant by a missing customs declaration.

The authority stated on X that if the tracking number for a shipment, checked via the express shipment tracking service, shows "No customs declaration has been created yet," this means the shipment has not yet been submitted to customs for processing.

It added that customs clearance is the responsibility of the carrier, as the customs broker representing the carrier is responsible for creating the declaration and attaching the required documents. Therefore, recipients should contact the carrier directly in such cases.
