Saudi ministry offers two investment opportunities for tropical fruit and stevia farming in Jazan

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has unveiled two new development and investment opportunities in Baish governorate, Jazan region, aimed at cultivating tropical fruits and stevia. The initiative seeks to support agricultural activities, enhance local production, and strengthen food security.

According to the ministry, the first opportunity involves tropical fruit cultivation on plot No. 1, covering 3,217,951 square meters. The second opportunity includes both tropical fruit and stevia cultivation on plot No. 3, spanning 3,217,957 square meters.

The ministry added that the deadline for submitting bids is October 5, 2026, noting that the terms, conditions, and full details are available on the "Furas" electronic platform.

The ministry emphasized that this move is part of ongoing efforts to support agricultural investment, diversify local production, and strengthen partnerships with the private sector to develop the agricultural sector and achieve food security goals.

The ministry noted that the large areas offered reflect the scale of opportunities available for investors to develop specialized agricultural projects that combine production and sustainable investment, supporting food supply chains and public-private partnerships.
