The Capital Market Authority has announced the suspension of United Cooperative Insurance Company shares from trading on the Saudi stock market, effective Sunday, September 13, 2026, due to the filing of a request to initiate liquidation proceedings against the company.

In a statement, the authority explained that the suspension decision is based on the Capital Market Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/30) dated 2 Jumada Al-Thani 1424H, and subparagraph (14) of paragraph (a) of Article 38 of the Listing Rules.

The authority noted that the suspension will remain in effect until a decision is made by the board after the commercial court rules on whether to accept or reject the liquidation request.

On Thursday, the board of United Cooperative Insurance Company resolved to submit a request to the competent commercial court to initiate financial restructuring proceedings, aiming to protect the rights of shareholders and creditors and ensure the company's continuity.

In a statement to Tadawul Saudi, the company said its board authorized the chairman, acting CEO, and executive management to take all necessary legal steps to implement this decision in accordance with regulations set by the relevant authorities.
